NoteStrike

Everyday plain-text editing

Open a file. Keep your place.

A focused Windows editor for notes, configs, logs and READMEs. Work in familiar tabs, find what you need, and keep control over the encoding and line endings saved to disk.

What you can do.

Keep a working set

Open files in tabs, search and replace with a live match count, or jump straight to a line. Wrap, zoom and light or dark themes adapt the view to the task.

Know what you are saving

See the file's encoding and line endings in the status bar. Decode problems and unsupported characters are reported before a save can make them permanent.

Return to interrupted work

Unsaved text is journaled in the background and offered back after a crash. Save prompts and external-change notices help you choose which version to keep.
