MediaStrike

Media playback

Open a file. Stay with what is playing.

MediaStrike is a desktop player for local video and audio. Open the files already on your computer, keep the current session in a queue, and switch to a focused view when you want the media to take the screen.

What you
can do.

Start with your own files

Open a file through the picker, drop it onto the player, or launch the app with a media path.

Keep a session moving

Filter the current queue by filename, move between files, repeat playback, and adjust speed without building a permanent library.

Make room for the picture

Use the compact focus view and supported subtitles, with keyboard controls for playback, seeking, volume, and mute.

In the toolkit.

  • Local video and audio files
  • Drag and drop
  • Session queue and filename filter
  • Playback speed controls
  • SRT and WebVTT subtitles
  • Focus view

Platform
Windows source preview

MediaStrike is an early Windows development preview available as source. It needs a separately installed GStreamer runtime; no verified installer is supplied, and broader format coverage, audio output, and accessibility still need review.
